Twitter Set To Add Video, Audio Call Features

Twitter Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk has announced some major feature additions to the microblogging platform.

He revealed the planned feature additions on Tuesday in a tweet that Twitter will get video, audio calls and encrypted chat features soon.

Musk said with the latest version of Twitter, users can reply to any message in a thread.

He said the encrypted DMs V1.0 trial will commence on May 11, 2023.

He, however, explained that the voice and video chat features would not necessarily mean giving out users’ phone numbers.

Musk wrote, “Coming soon will be voice and video chat from your handle to anyone on this platform, so you can talk to people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number.”

KOKO TV reported yesterday that Twitter Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk, has announced the platform will unveil plans for lower prices for small businesses interested in acquiring the verification badge of the platform.

He said this while responding to complaints made by users of the platforms that the $ 1,000-a-month subscription fee for businesses is too high.

Musk responded to say the $1,000 charge will be for ‘larger’ organisations.

He said, “We will have a lower cost tier for small businesses but need to manage the onboarding of organisations carefully to prevent fraud. The $1000/month is meant for larger organisations.”
