Quincy Jones’ latest interview has pretty much taken over the internet thanks to the multiple revelations made and insults thrown in it.
The legendary record producer sat down with Vulture and revealed that he dated Ivanka Trump, claimed Michael Jackson stole tracks from other artists, and called the Beatles ‘terrible’ – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. But one of the biggest bombshells in his chat – that Richard Pryor had sex with Marlon Brando – has been confirmed by none other than Pryor’s widow.
Quincy, 84, said of the late lothario Brando: ‘Brando used to go cha-cha dancing with us. He could dance his ass off. He was the most charming motherfucker you ever met. ‘He’d fuck anything. Anything! He’d fuck a mailbox. James Baldwin. Richard Pryor. Marvin Gaye.’ Now, Jennifer Lee, who was married to legendary comedian Pryor from 1981 until 1982, then again from 2001 until his death in 2005, has confirmed that her husband slept with the actor. Jennifer told TMZ that Richard would have no shame about Quincy’s comments and that he was very open about his bisexuality with his friends.
She added that his sexuality was covered ‘extensively’ in his diaries, which she is planning to publish this year. Jennifer then seemed to pin the tryst on drugs, saying: ‘It was the ’70s! Drugs were still good, especially quaaludes. If you did enough cocaine, you’d fuck a radiator and send it flowers in the morning.’ Pryor was married seven times to five different women, and had seven children. Meanwhile, Brando – who died aged 80 in 2004 – was also open about his sexuality, saying in 1976: ‘Like a large number of men, I, too, have had homosexual experiences, and I am not ashamed. I have never paid much attention to what people think about me.’
