The city known for its artistic heritage and narrow houses is the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam is a beautiful city which holds the legacies of the golden ages. Here are five reasons why you have to visit Amsterdam at least once.
1. Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam: Have you ever wondered what a palace in the 17th century looks like then Moninklijk Paleis Amsterdam is the perfect place for you to visit, This was the palace of Napolean’s brother King Louis I of Holland and is still used by the Dutch Royal House.
2. De Wallen: The city known for is the legalization of prostitution is surrounded by a lot of historical building and an infamous red light where sex workers try to entices onlookers.
3. Scheepvaart Museum: Amsterdam is rich in artifacts and they all housed at the Scheepvaart Museum so if you are a western history buff this is the perfect place to visit.
4. Bloemenmarkt: Know as the world’s only floating flower market, is a sight to behold, flower sellers load stands and floating barges with all of the flowers and bulbs for which the Netherlands is famous.
