Tough Times! Serena Williams Pulls Out Of The Italian Open

American Tennis Legend, Serena Williams, has withdrawn from the Italian Open due to personal issues.
The Wimbledon-winning legend pulled out from May’s Italian Open, 5 days after withdrawing from the WTA event in Madrid.
Serena withdrew from the Madrid Open last-week on the grounds that she needs more time to prepare for her first clay-season.
Serena has not played on clay since she featured in the Roland Garros final in 2016. She returned to the WTA Tour in two months ago, and reached the third round at Indian Wells, where she was beaten by her sister, Venus Williams, who went on to win the competition. Serena later endured another defeat in the first round of the Miami Open to Japan’s Naomi Osaka.
