Billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu has taken to social media to speak on the failing state of the country. The CEO of Heirs holdings took to his Twitter page in a lengthy thread to share his thoughts noting that the state of the country at the moment affects everyone regardless of social class.
He noted that he watched his colleagues at work lament about the state of the country and how things are getting worse with no electricity, food inflation, increase in fuel price, etc. The businessman shared that it is disappointing seeing a country rich in natural resources have 90% of its citizens live in abject poverty.
Elumelu explained that electricity is a critical factor in driving development and because of this many businesses suffer coupled with insecurity. He shared that other oil-producing nations are smiling at their foreign reserve but Nigeria is different calling on Nigerians to start holding leaders more accountable as security and resources need to be everyone’s agenda.
Tony Elumelu stated that evil prevails when good people are silent so everyone needs to be vocal about 2023. Demand and advocate for leaders that deliver because in 2023, Nigeria must be on a strong trajectory for progress and development.
