A bill that seeks to ban cross dressing in Nigeria has suffered a temporary setback during consideration.bobrisky cross dressing

The Deputy Speaker, Idris Wase, on Tuesday, December 13, ordered the sponsor of the bill, Muda Lawal, to step down the bill stating that his argument is not convincing enough. This has caused relieved for most people who support the cross dressing movement in Nigeria.

Recall that the bill, which was introduced in April 2022, seeks to amend the same-s3x marriage (prohibition) act of 2013 by including cross dressing as one of the offenses under the act.

If passed into law, cross dressers risk six months in prison or a fine of five hundred thousand Naira. It is worth adding that this is not a rejection of the bill, it could still be debated again if the sponsor provides a convincing argument.james brown
