Media personality Uti Nwachukwu has weighed in on the trending controversial topic of tithing noting that it works but is not compulsory, The actor in a thread shared on his Twitter page explained that a lot of people get tithing wrong and no one would be punished for not practicing it.
He shared that it is elective describing it as a covenant blessing available to those who are interested. The TV star shared that it is wrong to put fear into the congregation enforcing them to practice it. He explained that the same rule goes for other types of giving like first fruit etc. admonishing churches to let people know the advantage but not lie to the congregation that they sin when they don’t give tithe.
Uti explained that love and faith are the major things across all religions and people’s faith is what produces results for them. He finished off by saying no one can buy a spot in heaven and Jesus never preached the doctrine of prosperity.
