The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied reports that the party received about N2 billion in financial support from the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, prior to the election.
KOKO TV reports that Tinubu, who emerged winner of the presidential election held last Saturday, also won Rivers State ahead of the Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi.
There were reports that Wike had released about N2 billion to enable the APC to organise the presidential campaign in the state and ensure the victory of Tinubu in the state.
