The candidate of the Labour Party at the 2023 general election, Peter Obi in a viral video, alleged that a former Lagos State Governor, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is sick, and any Yoruba supporting him is only doing it for the money.
The former Anambra state governor made the claim while addressing a cross-section of his supporters. Showing friends and colleagues a broadcast message allegedly shared by members of the Tinubu campaign organisation, Peter Obi argued that Tinubu is not fit to be a leader.

Responding to the accusation, the APC camp said that a presidential candidate should not be seen spreading any information from a Whatsapp broadcast message.
The Special Adviser to the President on Digital Media, Tolu Ogunlesi stated that Peter Obi is playing an ethnic card, and a tribal bigot is not who we need in the country right now.

The Obi camp were however ecstatic by the ‘new’ Obi. Taking to social media to air their opinion, some ‘Obidients’ said they are overjoyed by the new attitude their candidate is displaying.
The APC presidential candidate is yet to respond to the allegation, as at the time of writing this report.
