President Bola Tinubu has approved the confirmation of the appointment of Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service.
Mr Willie Bassey, Director Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation made this known in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.
According to the statement, the President tasks Adeniyi to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment.
“The appointment takes effect from Oct. 19 and his tenure is in accordance with the extant provisions of the Public Service Rules (PSR).

In other News, A young Nigerian gospel singer has generated a stir online after images of him in a coffin to perform at a church went viral.
On his social media website, the gospel singer posted photographs of his performance as well as a story about how he was motivated to step inside a coffin.
In his post, the gospel singer disclosed that he needed to be reborn in order to completely enter his ordination.
He stated that he realized that the only way for him to be reborn was to die and then resurrect, which is why he held a funeral for himself.
The photographs that went viral of Onoja arriving on stage in a coffin were taken at a church service in Jalingo, Taraba State.
