Several political heavy-weights in the Federal Republic of Nigeria have shared their heartfelt condolence with the family of the late Punch chairman, Mr. Gbadebowale Aboderin.

President Buhari, in a statement released by his media aide, Garba Shehu, described the deceased as a respected entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Buhari said Aboderin would be remembered for his resourcefulness, managerial proficiency and invaluable contributions to the media and sports industry.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, in a statement issued by his media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu, also eulogized the late Punch man. Saraki said Mr. Aboderin led an exemplary life worthy of emulation and contributed immensely to national development through the media, youth and sports development, among others. APC, national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinibu, also condoled the deceased’s family.
