This Is Why The Lagos State Government Demolished The Popular Ile-Epo Market

The Lagos state government displaced hundreds of traders on Friday as a league of Task Force operatives demolished the popular Ile-Epo foodstuff market in Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area of the state.
The market – which served as a source of income to over hundred traders – was demolished so as to accommodate the new Mega city plan of the state government. The market was demolished to make way for a modern market.
The project is expected to be completed in 12 months from commencement date. On completion, the market would have banking hall, police post, car park, a garage where trailers from the North would offload their wares, fire station, among others.
