Pope Francis has urged all nuns who have decided to embrace the positive trends of the new generation technology like social media apps, to use it with sobriety and discretion.
Pope Francis made the announcement in a revised edition of a document, titled Cor Orans, which clarifies rules governing monastic life in the Catholic community.

The document was introduced to safeguard silence and recollection. According to BBC, the document insisted that discretion should apply to “the quantity of the information and the type of communication”, in addition to the actual content of the information released to the social media.
The Vatican leadership urged nuns not to let digital media “become occasions for wasting time”. Despite the fact that the Vatican itself is a well-known tweeter.
