Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gives reasons why Lagos State amongst the other 6 South-west states is the only state that doesn’t have community state security operative “Amotekun”.Sanwo-Olu on Amotekun

Governor Sanwo-Olu explained this during an interview on Channels TV, where averred that Lagos State has over 7,000 neighbourhood watch personnel “LNSC” who do exactly the same thing Amotekun operatives do, so for a rational thinking Governor he saw no reasons why to have a duplicate security operatives in the state even though he supports what his colleague have done with the Security operatives “Amotekun” in their states.

“So it’s just a name change in the case of Lagos. I appreciate what my colleague governors are doing, and they also appreciate the peculiar nature of Lagos.
“I have got over 7,000 neighbourhood watch personnel in Lagos, who are doing exactly the same thing that we have Amotekun doing.
“They are there at the border post giving us daily monitoring in their localities and feeding it back to the central. They are the ones feeding us with information. But they cannot carry arms and prosecute people.
