Nollywood actress Deborah Emokpaire, popularly known as Debby King has called out the Lagos State Government-built Yaba Isolation Centre over the death of her friend, and has warned many not to go there for COVID-19 treatment.
Debby King in a series of Instagram posts where she mourned her friend noted that many people who came into Nigeria for the end of the year holidays did not self-isolate, neither did they carry out the COVID-19 test, and at such, have infected many others in the State.
Revealing that her friend had visited the Yaba Isolation Centre for treatment when she caught the dreaded COVID-19, the actress shared a screenshot of her chat with her friend, in which the deceased accused the healthworkers at the centre of bribery and neglect. “Lost my bestie this morning to covid. Yaba isolation centre killed her😭😭😭😭😭😭 Avoid yaba isolation center. They are killing people there. Please and Please. Help spread the word. Yaba isolation center is a dead trap where only the rich and famous are treated after they doctors have been bribed”, she wrote.
