Tom Hanks’ son has come out to update fans and followers of his dad on the actors health. The actor and his wife revealed they had tested positive for the condition while in Australia and had decided to self-isolate.
After the announcement, their son Chet, 29, took to Instagram to share a video where he insisted the pair, both 63, are “not worried” about the illness.
He said in the video: “What’s up everyone? Yeah, it’s true. My parents got coronavirus. Crazy. “They’re both down in Australia right now because my dad was shooting a movie down there. I just got off the phone with them, they both are fine.
“They’re not even that sick. They’re not worried about it. They’re not tripping but they’re going through the necessary health precautions obviously.”He continued: “But I don’t think it’s anything to be too worried about. I appreciate everyone’s concern and the well wishes but I think it’s all going to be alright but I appreciate it. “Everybody stay safe out there. Much love.”
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have been married for 31 years. The pair were in Australia, where Hanks was set to start filming for the upcoming Elvis Presley biopic, when they became sick and tested positive to the deadly virus.
