Korede Bello has denied the word on the street that he bought his school certificate.
The “Godwin” hitmaker who recently graduated from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism with a distinction, and was awarded as the Best in Editorial Writing at the institute on April 20.
“The main reason I endured to the finish line was because I needed to push myself and also to be a light for a lot of young Nigerians who think you cannot be an established Artiste and still achieve academic excellence,” said Korede Bello. “I endured because my people needed a role model.”
Korede Bello who got signed to Mavin Records along with Reekado Banks and Di’Ja in 2014, stated that he paid for his brilliant result through hardwork and commitment.
He adds: “A few days before I got signed I was still looking for tuition fees, so I understand the experience that some of you go through.
“And no, I didn’t buy my result but I paid for it through hardwork, commitment and sacrifice (time and music).”
