The Nigerian Senate has decided to summon President Buhari to address a joint session of the National Assembly over the incessant attack of Fulani herdsmen in Benue state.
The Upper Chamber decided to invite the President to the joint sitting to address the National Assembly on why insecurity has become the order of the day in several parts of the country.
According to Daily Post, the decision to invite the President was followed by a motion raised by Senator George Akume representing Benue North East senatorial district. Senator Akume said that despite interventions by the senate and the deployment of security operatives in the affected areas of the state, citizens are still being killed by various violent groups.
