KOKOTV Nigeria spoke with the ace stylist and she opened up on her thoughts on the fashion industry in Nigeria, the definition of style and the journey to building a reputable fashion brand in the country. She spoke on how she gathers inspiration to give her clients the Rhoda Ebun touch every time they walk up to her.
I Look at what i am styling them for and then i consider their body type, what works for them. How i can bring out their best assets and hide their flaws. Their personalities must shine through their look.
Rhoda Ebun Opened up on the lack of structure in the industry and how it affects the role of stylist. There is no structure and it is important to know the type of fashion stylist you want to be. Consider your strengths, grind hard to develop yourself.Â
She also shared with us her favourite Nigerian designers and how she is excited to see them at fashion shows and also release their look books. “I love Style Temple, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi, Moofa, Bridget Awosika, Ugo Monye, Vanskere etc. they always bring it and they always come through. They step out of their comfort zone, do something unexpected.”
