American media executive Oprah Winfrey has spoken out for the first time since her mother, Vernita Lee, died on Thanksgiving, November 22.
Oprah posted an image on her Instagram account, captioned: “Thank you all for your kind words and condolences regarding my mother Vernita Lee’s passing. It gives our family great comfort knowing she lived a good life and is now at Peace.”
According to a family statement, Veronica Lee, 83, died on Thanksgiving at her home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
