American security agencies were thrown into a frenzy this morning when a package containing nails and shrapnel blew up at a FedEx distribution centre in San Antonio, Schertz.
The bomb injured a FedEx worker as the package which was reportedly been bound for the state capital, Austin, halted activities at the center this morning.
Today’s blast is the fifth in a series of blasts that has stunned the state this month. So far, two people have been killed. Two days ago, two men, aged 22 and 23, were seriously injured in an explosion involving a tripwire device.
The series of bombings in the state over the past two weeks have killed two African-American men, Anthony Stephan, 39, and Draylen Mason, 17, while six others have been injured.
