Ten People Feared Dead In Kwara State Bank Heist

At least 10 people were killed and several others injured after a gang of armed robbers stormed a popular commercial bank in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Residents claimed that many of the victims died from stray bullets fired by the robbers. Confirming the story to Daily Post, an eye witness said: “Those of us close to the banks were indoors, while some were taking cover elsewhere. The robbers blew dynamites and fired heavy gunshots to gain access to the bank. The operation lasted for more than one hour. When we went out after the robbery, at least 4 people were already killed.”
Confirming the robbery to the press, the state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, said: “I am very saddened by the tragic events at Offa today. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who died in the armed robbery attack in the town today.”
