Teenage Boys Arrested Over Murder Of 14-Year-Old Girl In A Park

Two teenage boys aged 16 and 17 respectively were arrested after the dead body of a 14-year-old girl was found in a park at Wolverhampton, England. The teenage boys were found in West park, Wolverhampton by a member of the public by 7am on Thursday, April 12 after they were reported missing on Wednesday, April 11.
The girl was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident after a post-mortem examination. The result of the examination revealed she died from a blunt force trauma in her head.
The teenage boys were arrested at their home today and would remain in the police custody until they are due for questioning by detectives. The park was isolated by Police to allow forensic examination run smoothly.

The detective from the Force Homicide Unit, Inspector Edward Foster had this to say:
“Following the discovery of the girl’s body, the park was immediately sealed off to allow us to conduct a full forensic search of the area. My team is working around the clock to understand what happened to this girl and our inquiries to date have led to today’s arrests. A number of people have come forward with information, but I would still like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious or saw a young girl in the park overnight from Wednesday onwards.”
