When creating the list of top five childhood games in Nigeria, it is officially an abomination for this legendary game not to find itself in the top three. Ten-Ten is a perfect combination of strength, strategy, agility. It involves a minimum of two persons and a maximum of four individuals. It brings out the strength and joy of a Nigerian girl child.
The amazing sound of young girls slapping their palms with tactical finesse and strategic positioning is enough to alert a passer-by that some children are playing this legendary game. They swing their body swiftly and joyfully as they stamp their feet(s) on the floor with the greatest form of balance and composure.
Well unfortunately, civilization has stolen this amazing game from the Nigerian environment. You can hardly find a 12-year-old Nigerian girl that can play this game now. But before we accuse them of being naive, let’s blame ourselves of not teaching them this game. So i challenge you today; go out there and teach a child Ten-Ten today.
