TBT: How We Celebrated Christmas When We Were Young

There are huge differences between childhood and adulthood, apart from children being oblivious of responsibilities and worries the way we celebrate the holidays also makes a huge difference. Here is how we celebrated Christmas when we were young.
1. Bangers/knockout: This is a holiday essential when we were growing up, the sounds we made that made adults irritated were what made the festive period fun.
2. School Christmas Party:  This is the period we get to show off our Christmas dresses to our friends, the period our teachers aren’t allowed to beat us and the time we had to showcase our acting skills as we portrayed Mary and Joseph.
3. Christmas Carols: This is the time everyone is allowed to get up on the altar and sing their hearts out, during this period, we were the star of the show and our parents were glad to watch.
4. Christmas Cloths: This is the time for new clothes and shoes, I mean every parent was compelled to buy new clothes for their children, it felt like it was in the constitution and if any parent failed it looked like they were breaking the law.
5. Happy Parents: During this period it felt like we had immunity because our parents were suspiciously lenient, we almost could get away with anything it almost felt like a second birthday. Photo Credit: Getty
