A man has been arrested for groping a brave waitress, who bodyslammed him to the ground.
Dad of twin daughters Ryan Cherwinski, 31, was seen on CCTV grabbing the bottom of Emelia Holden, 21, in Vinnie Van Go-Go’s in Savannah, Georgia, US. The clip, filmed on June 30, shows the courageous server throwing the man to the floor of the eatery – much to the shock of fellow diners. It has now emerged that Cherwinski, who was arrested after cops reviewed CCTV footage of the groping, is in a long-term relationship and has two kids.
He is from Palm Bay, Florida, and was eating with his partner of 11 years in the restaurant when the incident took place. The 31-year-old has two infant twin daughters with his girlfriend, it has been reported. He spent two nights in jail and was released on July 2 after posting $2,500 bail. Cherwinski has been charged with sexual battery following the incident.
The CCTV footage shows him squeezing Emelia’s bum as she sorted through a pile of menus. She is then shown grabbing him by the scruff of his neck before throwing him against a wall with one arm. Emelia then berates him in front of other customers before telling co-workers to call the police. The customer was hauled off in cuffs after cops reviewed CCTV footage.
Emelia said: “I just did what I felt was best. I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police. As soon as the cops saw the CCTV footage, they immediately arrested the man. He sat in jail until Monday so in my opinion, he got what he deserved. All that I want from my experiences is for women to know that it’s okay to stand up for yourself. You have every right to wear what you want and you most certainly have every right to defend yourself.”
