Suspected Case Of Coronavirus In Katsina State Tests Negative

The suspected case of Coronavirus in Katsina State has tested negative, and the state is Coronavirus free according to the State’s Commissioner of Health, Yakubu Danja. Coronavirus

The patient who recently returned to the country from Malaysia, was picked up after information got across that patient had developed symptoms that were similar to the of the deadly novel Coronavirus.
A media briefing on Thursday, March 19, 2020, by the Commissioner of health in the state Yakubu Danja, said a blood sample sent to the National Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) came back negative. The commissioner called on residents in the state to avoid the spreading of fake news creating panic about the Novel COVID-19 virus and that the public in Katsina State should adhere to the health instructions from the authorities.

“We are appealing to people of Katsina State who have any health challenges to visit health facility and give all necessary information including travel history when you are unwell,” he said.
