The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, has urged all Nigerians to continue supporting the Super Eagles despite their back-to-back friendly defeats.

After losing three, drawing one and winning one of their five pre-world cup friendlies, the Super Eagles will be heading to Russia with the worst possible morale.

Speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, the Secretary-General of the Nigerian Football Federation, Mr. Mohammed Sanusi, urged all Nigerians not to give up on the Eagles, ahead of the 2018 World Cup tournament. He said: “We are not worried by these defeats suffered in the pre-World Cup games. These are only friendly games and they are meant to enable the technical crew try out new tactics and blend the team, the results don’t really matter because I know our boys were not at their best. There is no cause for alarm, the Super Eagles will bounce back.”
