Super Liverpool! Is The Red Army Back To It’s Full Strength?

Liverpool became the team to beat in the premier league after they rose against all odds to end Manchester City’s 22-matches unbeaten run. But is that victory really enough to declare that the red army has fully returned?
They won their last five games in all competition. They defeated all opponents since their 3-3 draw against Arsenal last year. They scored 16 goals and conceded 8 in their last five league matches. They rose above Chelsea in the league table for the first time in a long while. In summary, they are the team nobody wants to face.
But can we really say that their current impressive streak is enough to rank them on the same level with the Liverpool that once commanded continental respect? The Liverpool of Sami Hyppia, Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard. Can we really rate them with the Red legends of all-time?
The answer to this deep question is embedded in Liverpool’s success at the end of the season. If they break their trophy-less run by winning the Champions league, then we can say that they are indeed worthy of being ranked alongside the legends. But if they rise against all odds to lift the League title for the first time in over 20 years, then we can boldly declare that this is a new generation of supreme red giants.
