Super Eagles Striker, Obafemi Martins Ruled Out Of Football For 7-Months After Suffering A Hamstring Injury

Veteran Super Eagles striker and Shanghai Shenhua center forward, Obafemi Martins experienced a huge career setback, as he has been ruled out of the game for seven months after suffering a torn hamstring injury.
Shanghai Shenhua announced the devastating news on Wednesday. Martins sustained the injury during his club’s 2-2 draw against Kashima Antlers on Tuesday, April 3rd in the AFC Champions League. He had to be substituted due to the injury scare.
He started the game for Shanghai Shenhua but had to be replaced by Jianqing Mao in the 22nd minute. The tragic injury comes just three days after scoring a hattrick for Shanghai Shenhua in their 4-2 win over Hebei CFFC.
