Stop Portraying Igbo Men As Ritualists — Actress Praiz Sam Tells Her Colleagues

Nollywood fast-rising star Praiz Sam has called on the Nigerian movie industry to stop portraying Igbo men as ritualists in their movies. The actress in a post shared on her Instagram page explained that people are beginning to see the Igbo part of the country as ritualist and Nollywood has played a great role in this.

She explained that the movie industry needs to glorify the hardworking part of Igbo men stating that the Igbo are the most hardworking people in Nigeria. The screen star shared that she’s spent a lot of time with Igbo’s and the one thing they always talk about is their business. Praiz Sam shared that Nollywood instilled the belief that Igbo men cannot make clean money and now it is time to change that narrative.

She called on scriptwriters to do the needful as they bear the responsibility of shaping society through their movies.
