“Stop Lobbying For Rejection Letters”, NYSC Tells Corp Members

The National Youth Service Corps NYSC has advised its serving members to stop the act of lobbying for rejection letters at the places of primary assignments they are posted to.

Recall that the NYSC had recently restated that it would not bow to pressure to compromise its mobilisation process and will continue to prosecute fake graduates and anyone caught with fake certificates during registration as enshrined in the NYSC Act."Stop Lobbying For Rejection Letters", NYSC Tells Corp MembersIn a new development, the Director-General of corps, Brig.Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, on Monday, issued this warning stringently this disclosure during his virtual address to 2021 Batch B Stream II Prospective Corps Members and Camp Officials nationwide.

While commenting on Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Ibrahim encouraged them to respect the dignity of labour by taking the programme seriously. “Ex-corps members and those serving have done a lot under the SAED Programme and are still doing well with the various skills set”, he said."Stop Lobbying For Rejection Letters", NYSC Tells Corp MembersGoing on to note that the orientation course was germane to the operations of the NYSC Scheme, DG Ibrahim said the essence of the NYSC is for national unity and integration. Dishing out the expectations from corp members, he said they should execute viable projects in the host communities so as to leave lasting legacies. He also noted that to win awards for the projects, Corps members must not relocate out of their original state of deployment.

Remember, you are not to use your personal funds to carry out projects either individual or group.
