Adam L Sanusi, the son of the ex-Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has called on Nigerians to focus on what is basic and most important to the lives of the citizens rather than fight on religion and all other unnecessary chaos.
Adam Sanusi took to his Instagram story to liken Nigerians to someone who is hungry but in the stead of buying food, went to spend unnecessarily on a Gucci belt, and another who gets a paint job instead of refilling his exhausted car gas. “Imagine a hungry man who instead of food, buys a Gucci belt. Car runs out of gas instead of buying more, he gets a paint job. If you saw him you might think he’s mad but we’re quite similar. We all need to focus on the larger problems that we have”, he began. “Stop worrying about Eko Atlantic when millions are dying from hunger. Stop fighting over the hijab when millions don’t know how to pray. A solid foundation is what’s needed, if the essentials aren’t taken care of all our efforts to build new cities or be better people are akin to madness”, he added.
