Stepping Down Is “Not The Plan”- Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed in a recent interview with CNN that he has no plan of stepping down from his role as chairman of the Facebook’s board. During the interview that aired Tuesday night, the scandal-plagued tech savvy was asked whether or not he would step down as chairman of Facebook’s board following the latest disclosure of scandals within the company.“I’m not currently thinking that that makes sense,” Zuckerberg responded. Zuckerberg also praised Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg when asked if she would keep her job following a series of scandals at the company. “Sheryl is a really important part of this company, and is leading a lot of the efforts to address… the biggest issues that we have,” Zuckerberg said. “And she’s been an important partner for me for 10 years. And I’m really proud of the work we’ve done together, and I hope that we work together for decades more to come,” he added.Mark Zuckerberg Various controversies have been plaguing the company, ranging from the Cambridge Analytical scandal to how Russians attempted to use Facebook to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election, which Facebook had made several attempts to deflect.
