The Central Bank of Nigeria CBN has warned Nigerians against spraying the naira notes, condemning the rate at which Nigerians mutilate, deface, squeeze, spray and sell the currency to the point that it smells and looks tattered.
The apex bank issued the warning through its Assistant Director at the Currency Operations Department, Aladeen Badajo, during the commencement of the CBN two-day sensitisation fair held in Abeokuta today, Thursday.Spray Or Squeeze Naira And Get 6 Months Jail Term - CBN Tells Nigerians
Delivering his presentation at the programme which was aimed at creating awareness about the Central Bank of Nigeria’s activities in relation to economic development initiatives, Badejo urged the Nigerians to consider nation’s currency as a symbol of national identity.
