Spain’s Oldest Person Maria Branyas, Survives Coronavirus

Spain’s oldest person Maria Branyas has survived the coronavirus at the age of 113. The country’s retirement home announced the news of her recovery after she contracted the virus.

Maria Branyas, a mother of three who was born in the US, became infected in April at the Santa Maria del Tura care home in the eastern city of Olot, Spain. She has lived in Olot for the past 20 years, and fought Coronavirus off in isolation in her room.
“She survived the disease and is doing fine,” a spokeswoman for the residence told AFP, adding Branyas had only displayed mild symptoms. “She feels good now, she took a test last week and the result was negative,”  “Now that she is well, she is wonderful, she wants to speak, to explain, to make her reflections, it is her again,” her daughter tweeted.
When asked the secret to her long life,  Branyas spoke on her recovery and said she is just lucky to enjoy good health.
