Sowore Rearrest: We Are Not Going To Allow Gangsterism – Femi Falana

Femi Falana has slammed the Nigerian government over the rearrest of his client, Omoyele Sowore at the Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday after he was detained for 125days.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria gave his reaction while addressing newsmen after the forceful abduction, revealing that he had suspected that the Department of State Services (DSS) was up to something after he saw some people he claimed were hired by the Nigerian government protesting at the court.
Femi Falana then noted that gangsterism will not be allowed in the country and will be conquered just the same way military dictatorship was conquered in the country. Amidst smiles, the Human Rights Activist said, “As officers of the court, we are going to take appropriate steps, as a matter of fact, we have a sister case in court no. 5 where we are also challenging the illegal detention fo our client by the State Security Service. We either run this country on a platform of rule of law or we resort to gangsterism as it is happening now“, he said.
Recall that Femi Falana had foretold that the DSS Are Plotting New Charges Against Sowore
He added that a democratically elected government will not be allowed to continue treating the judiciary with disdain, emphasising that the act DSS’ act will not go unchallenged. Watch him speak below:
