Factions of the African Alliance congress (AAC) led by Omoyele Sowore and and Chief Leonard Ezenwa, are currently in a clash at the INEC headquaters in Abuja. The fight began on Monday, March 15, after INEC officially recognised Sowore’s rival as the owner of the party, Punch reports.
Recal that a few days ago the political party annonced tha it 2019 presidential candidate had been expelled from the party. The National Chairman of AAC, Dr. Leonard Nzenwa, said Sowore’s expulsion was ratified by its highest decision-making organ. He stated that Sowore was impersonating the leadership of the party by writing a letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) claiming to be the Chairman of the party.

The national chairman said the political activist was expelled over various proven allegations of financial recklessness and misappropriation of party funds, abuse of party constitution, high-handedness etc He mentioned that the actiivst carried out some criminal activity under the name of the party.
