South African Media Personality, Bonang Matheba Charged With Tax Fraud

South African media personality Bonang Matheba, been charged for allegedly dodging personal taxes from 2007-2017 and company tax from 2014-2017. The reality TV star made an appearance in the Specialised Commercial Crimes court in Johannesburg this morning after she missed her an appearance on September 27.The case has been postponed to 27 November, 2018 at the very same court. The reality TV star’s legal team requested a postponement of at least 12 days to finalise its representations. The State has requested the representations at least three days before the next court date, which means Matheba’s legal team needs to have their representations completed by 22 November.  After her court appearance, a reporter Bonang how she feels about the postponement, to which she replied: “Life is good.”As with her last appearance‚ Bonang will be required to appear in person or a benched warrant for her arrest will be issued. Matheba’s manager Davin Phillips however, says she has the right team in place to ensure that Ms Matheba complies as she’s a law-abiding citizen and wants to work towards finalising the matter.
