The South African Athletics board has promised to challenge the new rules by the world athletics governing body, IAAF, on testosterone levels among female athletes.
The new rule will affect several world stars like South African Olympic 800m champion Caster Semenya. The affected female athletes will have to either race against men or take medication so as to remain in the competition.
In a press statement, the national athletics board, Athletics South Africa insisted that it will challenge the new regulations because “they have found new rule to be skewed”.
They also announced that: “If the IAAF failed to drop the rule, it will take its case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
