The social media platform, Snapchat, experienced a service outage on Wednesday, leaving some over 290 million online users frustrated and unable to connect all over the world.
Snapchat was first reported as not being available from 11:50 am on Wednesday, as users lament their inability to send and receive messages on the app.
According to Down Detector, over 14,000 users have logged their complaints concerning the outage on the social app.

The photo-sharing platform has, however, acknowledged that it is currently facing some issues, as the team assured that they’re looking into it.
Snapchat took to Twitter to write, “We’re aware that some Snapchatters are having issues using the app right now – hang tight, we’re looking into it!”
Some users also took to Twitter to lament about the service downtime they are experiencing on Snapchat.

A user @111kish, tweeted, “Twitter is the only app I can trust right now. First Instagram, now Snapchat.”
While some said that they could take pictures on the app, the majority of the users’ complaints, however, border around their inability to send and receive messages and pictures.
This is coming nine days after Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram experienced downtime across the world. On the 4th of October, some three billion users were stranded as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram experienced downtime.
