Markets, roads and businesses in the Eastern region of Nigeria has been deserted as easterners complied to the #SitAtHome order given by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Ma’azi Nnamdi Kanu.
Recall that the Nnamdi Kanu had, earlier in the month, ordered a total shut down #SitAtHome in the South-East, Abuja, Lagos State and the North on the 30th of May toĀ celebrate those killed during the Biafra civil war.
As the day finally came, easterners in Onitsha, Enugu, Abia State and others, trending the hashtag #SitAtHome. Nigerians have taken to social media to give updates, with images and videos of the deserted markets, roads and business areas.
