Roads were deserted for IPOB Remembrance Day Sit At Home Order
Markets, roads and businesses in the Eastern region of Nigeria has been deserted as easterners complied to the #SitAtHome order given by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Ma’azi Nnamdi Kanu.
Recall that the Nnamdi Kanu had, earlier in the month, ordered a total shut down #SitAtHome in the South-East, Abuja, Lagos State and the North on the 30th of May toĀ celebrate those killed during the Biafra civil war.#SitAtHome: Easterners Desert Rods, Businesses, At Nnamdi Kanu's Order
As the day finally came, easterners in Onitsha, Enugu, Abia State and others, trending the hashtag #SitAtHome. Nigerians have taken to social media to give updates, with images and videos of the deserted markets, roads and business areas.
