The Super Eagles of Nigeria were surprisingly defeated in Tuesday nights international friendly game by the Serbian national team. The game which was played in the hive stadium, London, United Kingdom, saw the Eagles going in as hot favorites owing to their consecutive wins against high ranking Argentina and Poland. This is coming after the Serbian team suffered a defeat to Morroco and were not expected to be able to beat the super eagles. However, the team came into the game, with a more resolute mindset, a great organized defense & midfield, and a superb attack, as they kept pulling off moves on the Nigerian team. After being denied what looked like a good goal in the first half by the referee, the Serbians kept up their incessant attack on the Nigerian side in the second half, which finally yielded results as Alexander Mitrovic scored the brace that secured a well-deserved win for the Serbian eagles.
