Former Aviation Minister and politician Femi Fani-Kayode FFK has said cleric Sheikh Gumi’s statement clamouring for amnesty for bandits like the Niger Deltans have is asinine and unacceptable.
Recall that Islamic cleric who is known for visiting the bandits in the forests for peace negotiation, had in a post he shared on Facebook today, asked the Federal Government not to use military force on the bandits . According to him, it will only worsen the situation.
Taking to Instagram, FFK distinguished between the activities of the bandits and those of the Niger Delta militants. According to him, the militants did not target, rape and kill women and did not abduct children from their schools like bandits do.

“For Sheik Ahmad Gumi to say that the killer bandits and terrorists are not going anywhere unless and until they are given amnesty like the Niger Delta militants is asinine and unacceptable. The Niger Delta militants did not target, rape and kill women and they did not abduct children from their schools”, he said.
