In a world where ladies hold on to the belief that “all Nigerian guys are not romantic”, the average Nigerian guy will easily conclude that “He needs to bring Neptune and Pluto together before he can please a Nigerian girl”. He will hold on to the thought that he might need to be a “woman Wrapper” before he can successfully please a lady. Some guys are of the belief that the only way to successfully please a lady is to be rich, extremely gentle and humble. Well, I am here to tell you that all these perceptions are wrong.
Pleasing a Nigerian girl does not require any form of special skills or training. Just like other humans, they only require some easy and basic things constantly to affirm a place for yourself in their heart. These easy things include:
1) Listen to Her:This is the basic foundation to a woman’s heart. You literally can’t do without this. Just as Abraham Maslow placed physiological needs as the basic foundation for all human needs, Nigerian ladies have officially made a listening ear, the basic need for any relationship. Contrary to the popular belief that they place money over every other thing, Ladies actually place a listening ear over everything.
2) Buy Her “Emotion-attached” Gifts: You need to combine your emotions and her interest to any gift before buying it for her. For example: Buying a lady suya and a bottle of beer to celebrate valentine is completely unromantic in every perspective, but her heart will drool for you if you surprise her with an expensive flower, a heart warming greeting card, a box of chocolate and one or two more additives to complement it.
3) Make An Effort With Her Friends: Naturally, guys are not overtly fond of hanging out with a host of ladies. Your partner understand this fact too, but she will really appreciate any effort you make to try to be friendly to them. She understand the fact that you are pissed off when they rally together to discuss their usual emotion based topics but she will be very happy if you can hang around with them more often than not.
4) Show an interest in her interest: At least 85% of Nigerian guys hate Zee World related movies/series, but you partner will really appreciate you if you make an effort to watch it with her once in a while. Ladies love talking to someone when watching a movie they really like. She will reserve a place for you in her heart if you make yourself the person to talk to.
5) Plan a trip together: Planning a getaway vacation with your lady is a very romantic move from all perspectives. It does not need to be overtly expensive or flashy. Just a cool and serene place where the both of you can easily enjoy a moment away from your ever busy normal lives.
