Stand To End Rape, the NGO which took up Seyitan’s rape allegation against singer D’banj has reacted to the vindication of the accused, saying the oparties settled privately and non-monetary.
Recall that controversial journalist and pharmacist Kemi Olunloyo announced D’banj’s vindication, sharing some legal document and noting that Seyitan appealed and withdrew her petition (read here).
Taking to the same streets of Twitter, Stand To End Rape gave an account of her stewardship in the case, saying the organisation was earlier invited to a meeting with Segalink, the accused and the accuser which it declined.

Adding that all the while, the initiative’s main focus was on Seyitan’s safety and wellbeing for which course she was rented an apartment, the statement revealed that she, however, on the 13th of July, reached out the initiative that a private non-monetary settlement was reached with D’banj’s team.
