Serena Williams Withdraws From US Open Due To Injury

World-famous American tennis player and 23-times grand slam winner Serena Williams has announced her withdrawal from the New York US Open, due to her niggling hamstring problem. Serena Williams

Recall Serena a couple of months back had to retire from the Wimbledon Open, she had injured her right leg in a first-round match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich. The ankle injury and now her hamstring all contributed to reasons why she couldn’t participate at the recently concluded Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Some about an hour ago Serena took to her social media pages to announce that she won’t be playing at one of her most favourite tennis annual grand slam the US Open, explaining that she made the decision to withdraw after her doctors and medical teams advise her not to take part in the competition so as to allow her torn hamstring heal completely.
