Senate Finally Passes Nigerian Peace Corps Bill

After much delay, the Nigerian Senate has finally passed the Nigerian Peace Corps bill. The Senate, yesterday 25 July, passed the bill on the recommendation by the committee on judiciary, human rights and legal matters. The upper legislative chamber adopted a conference committee report on the bill before passing the bill.The Nigerian Senate had in month of May postponed the passage of Nigerian Peace Corps Bill, over the allegation of fraud in the recruitment exercise by the organisation.Photo Credit: Getty
