Masturbation is a word that many people won’t even want to say in some culture. But with the Coronavirus lockdown, a lot of people have resorted to pleasuring themselves.


Mere mention of the word ‘masturbation’ could be irritating. In some settings, masturbation is considered an evil act.
Apparently, not many would want to talk about it either because of their religious backgrounds, morality or it is simply considered absurd.

In this part of the world, masturbation is a taboo to discuss  but nevertheless remains quite a common and almost natural activity among men and women and even children. By definition, masturbation means touching one’s own body, including sex organs, for sexual pleasure. It has raised a lot of controversy in religious circles.

In study by the Gossard Big M Survey shows that 92 percent of women regularly take time out to masturbate, a huge jump from the findings of previous studies (74 per cent in 1979 and 62 per cent in 1953).

Popular Nollywood actress and model Ronke Tiamiyu sent out an apology after ‘mistakenly’ sharing a video that showed her masturbating.

Ghanaian singer Stephanie Benson has disclosed that she masturbates whenever she feels for sex and the husband is not around or asleep. The 52-year-old mother described masturbation as a beautiful thing, asking why people see it as a taboo. She said masturbation is important for women to explore their bodies, adding that there is nothing wrong for her as a married woman to masturbate.

“Masturbation is a beautiful thing”, Stephanie Benson said, wondering: “Why do we make it such a taboo?”

Amber Rose:
When Kanye West’s ex, model Amber Rose, was asked how she got a healthy glow to her skin in 2016, she said: “Masturbation. I wish I had the time to masturbate every day in reality, but I don’t.”

Jada Pinkett Smith: Actress Jada Pinkett Smith revealed in 2018: “My grandmother taught me about self-pleasuring because she wanted me to know that that pleasure was from me.
