Ever since the ‘not too young’ bill was signed into law, young people have been stepping up to take leadership roles in their respective communities. After popular Nigerian singer Banky W made his intentions known that he would be running for the house of representative of the Eti- Osa constituency, another Nigerian celebrity has come out to follow in his footsteps. 
Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has also come out to announce that he his running for the House of Representative of Okigwe South Federal Constituency. The actor who is running under the Young progressive Party (YPP) party has come out to say that it is time for the youths to take over and effect change.
